High, higher, Hannigalp – Saas-Fee high-altitude trail! For this hike, you need to have a head for heights, be sure-footed and have plenty of stamina for the 17 kilometres ahead. The starting point is on Hannigalp, from where you continue towards Furggen and then cross several gullies until you reach Balfrinalp, passing below the Distelhorn. Once you reach the Saas Valley, the trail leads through the larch forest down to Saas-Fee. Allow 6.5 hours for this route – the trip to the Saas Valley is definitely worth it. For Yannick, who also finds himself at dizzying heights as a circus artist, this hike is just the thing!

There are 30 question marks waiting for you with funny, tricky and exciting guessing questions that will amaze you. The route takes just over an hour and is suitable for all ages. Start at Hannigalp and hike along the question marks to Stafel and back again. Afterwards, you are guaranteed to be a few clever answers smarter!
Grache's local mountain can be climbed in just over an hour and a half. The approximately 3-kilometre-long tour requires athletic ability – good physical condition is a must – but the view from the summit is fantastic and well worth the effort. The trail is signposted from
the starting point on Hannigalp and leads you along the Furggen lifts to above the tree line. This is where it gets tricky: gravel paths and rocky trails require your full concentration. Once you have completed this section, you can enjoy a unique view on the home stretch. ‘Here I can pause for a moment, switch off and recharge my batteries before heading back down into the valley,’ says Katja about her favourite route.
If you want to experience the Matter Valley in all its colourful diversity, this route is just right for you! The hike starts with a gondola ride from St. Niklaus to Jungen. Once you have enjoyed the first fantastic view here, you continue on foot towards Jungtal.
Dwarf juniper, gentian, melilot, alpine aster, arnica, wormwood and numerous other flower species, labelled with names and information, adorn the five-kilometre-long trail. In less than three hours, you will have learned a lot about the fauna and flora of the Mattertal valley, absorbed the various fragrant scents of nature and enjoyed the magnificent view of the mountain peaks. Céline is certain: ‘The colourful splendour of the Alpine Flower Trail will delight everyone!’
