POI details

At the sports centre, the hike takes you left along the steeply ascending forest path to the idyllic mountain lake. From there, the path leads you along lush meadows up to Alpe Äbnet to the entrance portal of the Suone Eggeri. A cosy picnic area with a fireplace awaits you here. Strengthened, you follow the magic water through the shady larch forest. The trail is varied and leads you partly uphill and downhill. Every now and then you will have a view of the Chilcheri below. After about 6 km you will reach the end point at 1900 m above sea level.
From Visp you take the train to St. Niklaus. There you change to the bus, which gets you to Grächen every half hour. On weekends a direct bus operates from Visp to Grächen. Find full timetable information at www.cff.ch
