Short Family Bike Tour
In the Grächen bike region, there are several routes perfect for families who don’t want to pedal extra far. On the short Family Bike Tour, for instance, you can experience numerous highlights along five kilometres of trails. You’ll start at the village square and bike past the valley station of the Hannigalpbahn cable car.
- First stop – Lake Grächen: Your first destination is the idyllic Lake Grächen with its ice-cold Kneipp facility. Do your feet some good and treat them to a refreshing dip!
- Next stop – Alpe Äbnet: Continue on the narrow, unpaved corridor road up to Alpe Äbnet. Along the way, you can admire the enchanting Suone Eggeri, which flows peacefully next to the trail.
- Last stop – Egga Chapel: Now, you’ll bike along lush alpine pastures where cows graze in summer and through magnificent larch and stone pine forest towards the charming Egga Chapel. After a picnic with an unobstructed view of the Matterhorn, you’ll cycle back to Grächen.
Family Bike Tour
You’re in the mood for a leisurely bike tour, but five kilometres are just too short for you? On the ten-kilometre all-mountain route of the Family Bike Tour, you’ll cruise over easy singletracks, wider paths and gravel roads. The tour will take you past Alpe Äbnet to the Bärgji-Alp Restaurant. Our tip: Sit back and enjoy the fantastic view of the opposite side of the valley from the cosy restaurant terrace! The many 3,000-metre mountains – and especially Barrhorn as the highest snow-free peak – make for an unforgettable backdrop.
