From Niedergrächen, this trail leads you across meadows, steadily downhill through the forest and down into the Mattertal valley. Enjoy the fantastic view of the mountain scenery opposite. Once in the valley, cross the road and follow the signpost across the Vispa to the small village Kalpetran.

From Visp you take the train to St. Niklaus. There you change to the bus, which gets you to Grächen every half hour. On weekends a direct bus operates from Visp to Grächen.
