POI details

The first part of this hike takes you relaxed through the car-free part of Grächen. The route is relatively flat and on wide, mostly asphalted paths. Follow the signs to Gasenried, which will lead you through the refreshing larch forest. In Gasenried, the slightly ascending road leads you to Schalbettu. This tour offers you fantastic views of the impressive mountain scenery.

From Visp you take the train to St. Niklaus. There you change to the bus, which gets you to Grächen every half hour. On weekends a direct bus operates from Visp to Grächen. Find full timetable information at www.cff.ch
