The Weisshorn is our absolute foodie secret tip. They pile deep to classify themselves as a steakhouse and pizzeria, without wanting to offend this cuisine genre. But the addition is more a reference to father Markus Brigger, who took over the restaurant from his parents back in 1979 and promptly expanded it to include Grächens first pizzeria. Since 2019, his son Sven (Schweizer Hof Zermatt, Parkhotel Gunten, among others) has been sending gourmets delicacies that are a real treat. Under the motto Earth, Forest and Alps, the team around chef Sven creates modern and creatively interpreted alpine cuisine at the highest level of craftsmanship. Consistently and with a focus on quality, freshness and regionality. But pizza is also still very popular and pays tribute to the history of the house.
Our tip: To start, a fine "Alpine Bath" (cauliflower, apple calvados and alpine sushi - CHF 12) and for the main course, "Hunter & Gatherer" (venison, nut butter, chocolate, nettle, blueberry, mushrooms - CHF 39) in the forest.
