Amid high-alpine terrain, in the immediate vicinity of the impressive Ried Glacier, lies the Bordierhütte mountain hut. At 2,886 metres, hospitality is given top priority – sit down and enjoy hearty meals in a cosy, rustic ambience!
A relaxing overnight stay is also possible upon reservation. Equipped with a glacier water well, solar power and comfortable beds, the hut in Grächen offers everything an alpine hiker’s heart desires. The highlight: ibexes keeping you company right outside the hut’s doorstep!
From Grächen to Bordierhütte
To get to Bordierhütte, you have to complete a demanding but very impressive high-alpine tour. You’ll hike from Grächen in the direction of Alpja. The path leads you through fragrant larch forests and the unique glacier foreland landscape. In spring, you can admire the magnificent alpine roses that grow along the trail. Important: You will also cross the glacier on this hike – so crampons are a must!
