The ascending footpath takes you past the village square at the sports center. Follow the paved road to the lake. Then continue to Alpe Äbnet, cross the ski slope and follow the signs through the winter forest slightly downhill to Riti. Follow the signs to the chapel at Egga and then back to the village of Grächen on the road.
From Visp, take the train to St. Niklaus. There you change to the PostBus, which takes you to Grächen every half hour. On weekends, a direct bus runs from Visp to Grächen.
