This circular route at about 2100 m above sea level leads you relatively flat through the winter forest. It requires only little effort from you as you trudge the 2.5 km through the snow. With a short ascent, clear winter air flows through your body and your muscles warm up.

From Visp, take the train to St. Niklaus. There, change to the PostAuto, which takes you to Grächen every half hour. On weekends, a direct bus operates from Visp to Grächen.
