From Hannigalp, you hike uphill past the small chapel and follow the trail guidance to the right over the ridge to the other side of the mountain. This route offers fantastic views of the beautiful mountain scenery. The following section leads you downhill several hundred meters into the Saastal valley to Eisten.
From Visp, take the train to St. Niklaus. There, change to the PostBus, which takes you every half hour to Grächen. On weekends, a direct bus runs from Visp to Grächen. Detailed timetables for trains and PostBuses are available at sbb.ch.
