Your tour starts at the village square and leads you on the asphalt road past the valley station of the Hannigalp cable car, slightly uphill towards the chapel on the Egga. Shortly before you leave the road, follow the hiking trail signs to the left. You hike along the mountainside along lush meadows and follow the trail into the refreshing larch forest to Hohtschuggen.

From Visp you take the train to St. Niklaus. There you change to the bus, which gets you to Grächen every half hour. On weekends a direct bus operates from Visp to Grächen.
