Who will win the ‘Golden Sun’ trophy at the second edition of what is probably the smallest cabaret festival in the world? Artists have until 30 June to apply for the festival on 8 August on the Flanierbühne in Grächen.
Cabaret Festival Grächen
We present three fantastic artists from the cabaret genre on the ‘Flanierbühne’ on this entertaining evening.
The evening will be hosted by the well-known actor and director Karim Habli with his extremely entertaining presentation. Karim Habli is responsible for productions such as the renowned ‘Artistika’ and the highly successful theatre production of ‘Valais Dance of Death’. In the service of entertainment, the high-calibre presenter Karim Habli is the ideal sidekick for Peter Till. He and his extraordinary ‘Universal Druckluft Orchester’ have been engaged to provide musical accompaniment for the evening. Since 2007, freelance musician Peter Till has been touring internationally with his programme ‘Musik auf Rädern’ (Music on Wheels), presenting real gems from the history of music.
Three artists play for the audience's favour
On this entertaining and interactive evening, Karim Habli presents three artists who compete for the audience's favour. At the end of the evening, the audience decides who will receive the most of the coveted Sun Jetons and take home the ‘Golden Sun’ trophy.
Andy Snatch
Andy Snatch has been leading an exciting life on the streets of Europe for fifteen years. Rained on in Amsterdam, scorched by the sun in Seville, in the mud and on big stages, Andy has always proved to his audiences that passion is the driving force behind looking beautiful and stupid. Yet Andy Snatch is very British, and he is a performer who can laugh at life, people, situations and most of all himself! He juggles hot and sharp objects, constantly plays with his audience's attention and breaks the laws of gravity.
Holiday on Delay
Following the success of Jay Toor a.k.a Fire Fingers with her worldwide hit "Ms Flames", she returns as "Giselle la Pearl" in her new street show "Holiday on Delay". The show premiered in Switzerland in 2013 at the "Festival des Artistes de Rue" in Vevey and has since toured numerous street theatre and music festivals throughout Europe and around the world. It was directed and coached by Joanna Bassi, the sister of clown Leo Bassi and a great circus producer in her own right.
DJuggledy
DJuggledy is a virtuoso diabolo juggler with a unique style and a Berlin snout. A staccato of original tricks and ideas.
Awarded the "Pavé d'Or" at the Festival des Artistes de Rue in Vevey and winner of the "Certamen Intergalactico" at the Festiclown in Vigo.
Always on the move - risky and fast-paced... a diabolo experience !
