From the train station, follow the signs to cross the river and the road via a bridge to reach the other side of the valley. From here, follow the signpost, cross the road to Grächen, and continue uphill through the residential area. Here the route changes to meadows and forest surroundings. Take a short break at the small chapel by the wayside, then continue steadily uphill on the route. At Wichel, cross the paved road and continue hiking uphill alternately over meadow and forest paths until you reach Gasenried.
