POI details
Hannigalp is easily accessible either via a gravel road or by gondola from Grächen village. From Hannigalp, the route initially climbs steeply via "Chleini Furgge" to "Küchenwang". From here, it is worth tackling the additional 50 meters of elevation on foot to enjoy the view of the Wannehorn. The Wannehorn offers a fantastic panoramic view of the southern Valais and Bernese Alps. From "Küchenwang" it continues on a slightly wider trail to the second viewpoint "Heidnische Tossu". On the opposite side of the valley, unmistakable are the mountain peaks of the Augstbord region extending into the Mattertal. From this viewpoint, the circular route leads back via "Stafel" to Hannigalp.
By train from Visp to St. Niklaus, then by bus to Grächen, followed by the aerial cableway to Hannigalp. Regular train and bus connections at https://www.sbb.ch/ and https://www.postauto.ch/de/fahrplan
