POI details
Hannigalp is easily accessible either via gravel road or by gondola from Grächen village. From Hannigalp, the route initially climbs steeply via "Chleini Furgge" up to "Küchenwang." From here, it is worth taking an additional 50 meters of elevation on foot to enjoy the view of the Wannehorn. The Wannehorn offers a fantastic panoramic view of the southern Valais and Bernese Alps. From "Küchenwang," the path continues on a somewhat wider trail to the second viewpoint, "Heidnische Tossu." On the opposite side of the valley, the mountain peaks of the Augstbord region and into the Mattertal are unmistakable. From this viewpoint, the circular route leads back to Hannigalp via "Stafel."
Take the train from Visp to St.Niklaus, then the bus to Grächen, followed by the aerial cableway to Hannigalp. Regular train and bus connections are available at https://www.sbb.ch/ and https://www.postauto.ch/de/fahrplan
