From Grächen, following the road to the edge of the forest, it says here "snowshoes strapped on". You steadily climb through the forest up to the Eggeri irrigation channel. Along this water channel, you follow the trail through the enchanting winter forest above Lake Grächen to the exit portal of the magic waters at Alpe Äbnet.
From Visp, take the train to St. Niklaus. There, change to the PostBus which takes you to Grächen every half hour. On weekends, a direct bus runs from Visp to Grächen.
